From this month onwards, I am really getting into being open about the actual goals. Time is passing by and the focus now needs to be on the actual progress of these 40 goals. You all loved it when I wrote about the goals in detail and so I am assuming this will be helpful as well.
June 2023 Goal Plan
Self Love
Achieve hba1c < / = 5.5 and maintain it to the best of your abilities ( I am a Type 1 Diabetic & would like to live healthier )
Achieve a GMI which is Dexcom equivalent to hba1c ( average blood sugar levels over the last 3 months). GMI can be measured for 30 days as well so the aim is to reduce it from 6.4% to 6% by the end of June.
Goal for June
GMI = 6%
Find the best diet, exercise, and routine for maintaining a good life with healthy blood sugar, body & mind ( In order to achieve the above, I have to focus on the action that leads to good health )
Goal for June -
Stay committed to 75 hard challenge
Follow a diet.
Complete two 45-minute workouts, one of which must be outdoors.
Take a progress picture.
Drink 1 gallon of water.
Read 10 pages of a book
My diet:
Breakfast: under 30-gram carbs with protein
Lunch: Main meal of the day with carbs, a salad
Dinner: Low carbs meal with a salad/soup
Snack: Seed / low carb cracker and/or cashews provided blood sugar under 100. And of course, eat if running low on blood sugar.
Workout :
Follow Huberman’s workout method until I learn more from Andy Galpin.
Completely recover from herniated disc & hike a part of AT as a celebration ( This is so I do not take my back health for granted and do something I felt was only a dream when I was going through months of excruciating back pain )

Hike Mount Marcy
Meditate for 30 days & get into the habit ( Always wanted to make it a habit and now I will plus it will help in recovering from stress )

I struggled with this one for many reasons but one big one being feeling like I am not writing for the right purpose. I did a lot of self-talk and found that the reason I actually want this is to have a tribe of people who all value self-growth, mindset growth, and community.
Publish Type 1 Diabetes Ebook ( Want to do this for everyone who comes after me in the world of Type 1 Diabetes )

Do daily gratitude for 90 days ( The practice of gratitude helped me come out of deep bouts of depression after a nasty divorce. I found true love with this and so I am reviving this practice once again )

Go on a date with me every week ( The relationship I have with myself is very toxic so by going on dates, I am really trying to fall in love with myself )

Get into the habit of sending postcards to all the kids of my family & friends ( I am that aunt who forgets birthdays. Bummer! I want to be that aunt who loves & is thought of the time of need. Sending birthday cards, postcards are just a small way to tell a child that I am thinking of them )

Focussing on self-awareness is the theme for this month. Doing that by asking myself some questions every day so I know why I end up not progressing as much as I like-
What I am feeling right now?
Is there something bothering me? If yes, then what?
Do I want this in my life that is bothering me?
If not, then what 3 things I can do to grow out of it? One of the three things should be done immediately.
If yes, then what 3 things I can do to work on what is bothering me? One of the three things should be done immediately.
Building my self-esteem, focussing on health by doing 75 hard.
Doing hard things teaches the mental toughness our mushy dopamine-addicted brain needs.
Tracking the progress each day to stay on track
Taking mental breaks to just be happy in my own skin & doing that by reading a fun book, making tea & sipping by the window, going for a leisurely walk, hugging Mr. Hanson & observing the world around me, and doing whatever the heck I want to do except for scrolling Instagram, shorts, Facebook, etc.
Do you need an accountability partner?

There have been many times in my life when I wished I had an accountability partner who is also aiming at self-improvement like me. I want to be yours.
I love the accountability partner part! I read somewhere that there are two ways to achieve your goals. 1 is the hard way and the other the easier way. The hard way is on your own. The easy way is with a group of like minded Spartan warriors who will hold you accountable.
